The Mynabirds

The Mynabirds are a band to become enamored with. With four albums to their credit — all released on Omaha’s revered Saddle Creek label — the project from songwriting maestro Laura Burhenn excels in mastering every genre it stakes a claim on and reinterprets. From Memphis soul to power pop, from feral rock to dream pop, to haunting introspection and contemporary sociopolitical observances, it’s all immaculate. They’re a band that covers the range of human emotions, their songs friends to revel alongside in the good times or ones to commiserate with in the darker moments.
