Greener Grass

Comedy

A deliciously twisted comedy set in a demented, timeless suburbia where every adult wears braces on their straight teeth, couples coordinate meticulously pressed outfits, and coveted family members are swapped in more ways than one in this competition for acceptance. Suburban soccer moms find themselves constantly competing against each other in their personal lives as their kids settle their differences on the field.

Programmer’s Notes: The logical extremes of the suburbs are populated by some serious star power and comedic talent. Somehow this film is both realist and absurdist, smart and ridiculous, and consistently outrageous. Is it a postmodern take on family life in late-stage capitalism? Or just plain silly? Either way, we couldn’t stop laughing.
