Ann
Based on a true story. It's January 31st, 1984, and 15-year-old Ann is about to have a baby she's kept secret from her Irish-Catholic family and community. This is the story of the last day of her life, a girl alone and abandoned by society, by its prejudices, taboos, and traditions.
This is an incredibly moving feel that feels like it's rolling out in front of you in real-time. You can feel the societal confines of the time period and it adds to the tension effectively.
